In fall 2022, I will begin as an Assistant Professor of Political Science (tenure track) at UC - Colorado Springs. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Research in the Center for the Study of Government and the Individual at UC - Colorado Springs.

In addition to my peer-reviewed articles, I am currently pursuing two book projects. The first, Demagogues in American Politics, is forthcoming at Oxford University Press. The second, an analysis of Dwight Eisenhower's leadership of Interstate Highway reform, is under advance contract at the University Press of Kansas.

I received my PhD in Government from the University of Texas at Austin, focusing on public law and American politics. The Government Department at UT Austin has nominated my dissertation for the E.E. Schattschneider and Walter Dean Burnham Dissertation Awards.
